Hafiz Sohail Anwar

My name is Sohail Anwar, I am from Rochdale and I am honoured to be a Hifz teacher at Rochdale Islamic Academy.. Alhamdullilah I have completed the memorisation of the Quran (Hifz) and I gained an international diploma in Arabic Language and Grammar from my studies in Cairo, Egypt. I also have studied and learnt 3 different modes of reciting Quran (Qiraat).

Currently I am teaching Hifz to year 7 – 11 students in Rochdale Islamic Academy. I have a true passion for Arabic since i was a child and have studied Arabic abroad for 3 years. As a teacher to young learners,  I hope to influence and galvanise the students to becoming leading Huffaz. It is a pleasure and a true honour to pass on my knowledge that i have learnt over the years to help them become leaders of the next generation and the best individuals they can possibly be and to motivate and inspire them to develop the best characters as Muslims.

I hold myself to be an enthusiastic, committed educator with innate ability to understand and motivate children who strives to build student self-esteem and encourage understanding of cultural diversity. I am committed to the creation a cooperative community in the classroom; model for students the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among all community members.
